Manoir 'Les Arums': Warm and charming!
This is a place where you can completely come to rest. It's located in the center in the very quiet village Citerne, and so so beautiful. The owners really put a lot of effort in giving the house a warm style where everyone feels at home.
The rooms are big and have a big bathroom also. Everything is finished up to the last detail, so the rooms look stunning. The abundant use of wood in the rooms (also the floor) give you a really warm feeling. There's no tv in the room, but it would be a sin to watch tv in a place like this anyway.
We had rain when we were there, but I'm sure the very big garden is really relaxing to sit in when the weather is fine.
The owners are very friendly and are willing to give you lots of explanation about the area. The fact that there are only three rooms is also very nice. Like that the place is always really quiet.
Prices are about 60 or 70 euro per room (2 persons, breakfast included), depending on the room.
Unique Quality: - If you stay here, definitely take the dinner that Sophie prepares for you (39 euro, apéritif and wines included). Everything is made with fresh products, and it's absolutely delicious. When we were there, we had a small soup, a first course of gambas, duck leg as main course, and a delicious fruit dessert (forgot the name).
- For breakfast you get the choice of countless delicious jams, all made by Sophie.
