Good value!

Etap is one of the Accor group's budget brands. I've used Ibis before (3 stars) but Etap is 1 star.

I paid €44.70 including breakfast, so if price is your key issue, it's hard to beat. The room is functional and well designed, with a built in single bunk bed as well as the double. Toilet, shower and wash basin are all separate so that 3 people can be using them all at the same time!

Breakfast was a basic bread, butter & jam, coffee & OJ, but it is a buffet so you can eat as much as you want. Again, hard to beat at the price (€4.70 p/p).

Service is minimal, as you'd expect. Reception is closed at 10pm and entry is by an access code given to you on check in (the same one you use to unlock your room - no keys to lose). The hotel is on an Accor "campus" with an Ibis and Campanile, so I assume they deal with emergencies.

My only problem with the room was the lack of air conditioning - and it was 27c outside the day I arrived. That meant having the window wide open at night for air, but then you get the car park noise! Not a complaint given the budget price, but a factor I would consider next time (depending on the time of year).

The Ibis has a restaurant, and you have a very busy McDo (as the French call it) next door too.

The town centre is only a 2 minute drive away, and has plenty of better class eating places.

Unique Quality: Budget price and value for money!
