Chateau de Cherveux - Chambres d'hotes: The real medieval treatment...

By pure luck I found this castle B&B... wether it was on my itinerary or not, I had to sleep in a castle once in my life. I will never regret it; I spent a marvelous time around the castle, in Cherveux. One can visit the very impressive dungeons with its "machicoulis", the guards room, the assembly room, the washing bassins and the whole land wrapped in a superbe flora, horses, ducks and a legendary aura... I took a bath in a tower embeded tub; the candle light and mist filled the bathroom as owls and other night birds whistled mysterious songs rythmed by the closeby church bell rung every hour. Breakfast is included with the room... and one should not miss the "Tourteau" a sweet cakelike bread, with a "must eat" burnt crust, specialty of Cherveux's town, simply delicious.

Unique Quality: Oustanding characteristics? how could having a room in a feodal castle not be an outstanding characteristic in itself? ...Private bathroom, in room fireplace, great atmosphere and welcoming hosts.
