Look up, look around.

This is a very old town, in the 10th century it was a modest little village until it started trading it's eaux-de-viw with the rest of the world.
Take your time to look around, look up at the half-timbered houses, notice how small some of the doorways are, there is history all around you. Riding over the Pont Neuf on my gleaming '78 Triumph into the beautiful medieval town and immediately finding somewhere to park.
Hennessy

Another interesting excursion is providing by Hennessy. The house is not far from the castle. The Hennessy excursion includes little route in the river, excursion around producing and storage buildings of the company as well as tasting the drink in the company shop. Sorry for not good quality of the photo again.
One of the best liquor in the world

Well, if Bordeaux is mostly famous for its wine, Cognac is probably ONLY famous for its liquor.
Cognac is a small city, around 20 000 people, which completely identifies with its liquor.
Have been there twice since one of my best friend lived near there. You drink well there, it is really interesting to visit some Cognac houses, such as Hennessy. Though, I dont find the city very interesting otherwise.
A must do for wine and liquors aficionados. You can go your way without so many regrets otherwise.
