Charming Hotel in the heart of City Center
The place is centrally located being at Avenue Victor Hugo, and its few steps away from Cours Mirabeau.
It a a beautiful building with nice facade, with its restaurant having an art decor theme.. It got a terrace as well very ideal for dinners..
The rooms are relatively small and amenities are just adequate..
One problem here is the parking, they got limited slots only, thus we got to result to go to the pay parking at the other side.

Does anyone have a review of either or both of these hotels? I am particularly interested in hotel cardinal.

I have stayed in Hotel Cardinale several times and liked it, but that was 15 years ago. The neighborhood is very convenient to the Cours and a pretty street. I lived across the street for Hotel Saint Christophe and always wanted to stay there because the bar and lobby were pretty, but I never saw the rooms. It was a little out of my price range.
It depends on what you are used to. I recommended Cardinale to my yuppie niece who told me she was traveling on a budget. She didn't like it. I now realize that budget to her and to me is something entirely different. She never stays in anything less that 4 stars.
