Have just stayed at this camp site with my husband and 2 kids. No need to take your car, good public transport as bus and train just down the road servicing all towns along coast like Cannes, Nice, Antibes, and you can get to the parfumeries in Grasse too. Big site, lots of different people managing their own and/or mobiles owned by others. We rented a modern mobile, all mod cons, patio with BBQ and patio. Rented through Neil and Trudi Shooter and they operate a taxi pick up service from Nice airport (and local train stations). In August, high season we paid £430 for the week. Only extras to pay on site are 2 euros per person to use the pool. This is to avoid overcrowding. Pool is large, outdoor. Foam lilos and rings to help young swimmers are available to rent. Restaurant on site is very good, some great genuine french dishes on offer, plat du jour only about 8 euros and excellent. There is a take away too, a pizza place, supermarket, etc. Safety deposit boxes can be hired. Bikes can be hired too. Email me for anymore information if required Helen@hbellas.wanadoo.co.uk.
Handy location for getting to the high spots of the Cote D'Azur. Just across road from a beach (although pebble one). Marineland is a theme park which is within 2 mins walking distance. This incorporates Aquasplash, Mini Golf and a farm for young kids. Not cheap, but apparently very good. I can only talk about the farm as that was the only bit we went to. | | | | Pierre Et Vacances Antibes: Great position, let down by poor staff Compare Rates NEW! | Satisfaction: | | | | |
We stayed at Résidence Pierre & Vacances Port Prestige from 21 to 24 April and stayed in room 302. - Upon arrival we noticed a used tampon under the heater in the bedroom. Not ideal when you have two small children crawling around the apartment! Of course the person in reception was not going to dirty their hands by removing it, and there were no cleaning staff left (after 1700). - On arrival we saw there was a minimum amount of toilet paper. The morning after our arrival, we were assured by the “cleaning” staff, who had come up to clean the floor where we had found the used tampon, that they would replace the toiler paper. Of course we never saw the cleaning staff again, and once more, the person in reception was not going to help, declaring that we would have to buy our own toiler paper as there was none in the building. I would point out at this stage that this is an apartment which costs EUR 700 for three nights. Toiler paper not included! - I have taken several photographs of the apartment, showing general dirtiness and lack of maintenance. It is a pity that the effort that went into planning and siting the place is ruined by the sloppy work ethics of the cleaning staff and unluckily for us, by the front desk. | | | | Thalazur Antibes: A nice view except for the bungee jumping stand | Satisfaction: | | | | |
This is the hotel that I stayed at. I booked through Travelocity, and if you do make sure that you verify with Thalazur. I got there and they had no record of my reservation - even with a confirmation number. Luckily they weren't fully booked. The rooms are spartan but satisfactory. My room had two double beds, a chair, desk, TV, patio with table and chairs, a toilet, bathroom, and a closet with a dresser. It also had a small balcony that overlooked both the Med. and the pools. The service is very friendly and most of the people speak English.
7 pools to chose from...a fantastic restaurant overlooking the bay of Antibes...a shuttle to town...this hotel is actually also a spa that Europeans come to get a "cure"... I had a great view of Nice and the bay, along with the distant Alps and closer pre Alps. When clear I could see Eze in the distance. The only issue was the two huge bungee jumping towers right outside my window...
