a little bit of england

we stayed here for 3 weeks in june. it was very quiet then. the pool was open from 10 to 6pm then it was closed off along with the volleyball and table tennis. the playing field is actualy separate, along a lane and over a bridge,so there was no central place for kids to meet, except for the bar which was good, same drinks as at home, prices same as at home, with good screens for watching sports,it was more like an english bar, if this is what you want in the south of france.the restaraunt was excellent and resonably priced. this is a very large site, it could be packed in july and august. just outside the camp public transport was available.the trains were infrequent during the day, ok early and late, buses were more frequent, one euro per person for any part of the route.no.23 and 10 into antibes.a good site but not a great site.

Unique Quality: restaurant ,bar, shop all good.public pay phone{cheaper then using mobile}great access to transport.

Popular Campsite, rent a mobile!

Have just stayed at this camp site with my husband and 2 kids. No need to take your car, good public transport as bus and train just down the road servicing all towns along coast like Cannes, Nice, Antibes, and you can get to the parfumeries in Grasse too. Big site, lots of different people managing their own and/or mobiles owned by others. We rented a modern mobile, all mod cons, patio with BBQ and patio. Rented through Neil and Trudi Shooter and they operate a taxi pick up service from Nice airport (and local train stations). In August, high season we paid £430 for the week. Only extras to pay on site are 2 euros per person to use the pool. This is to avoid overcrowding. Pool is large, outdoor. Foam lilos and rings to help young swimmers are available to rent. Restaurant on site is very good, some great genuine french dishes on offer, plat du jour only about 8 euros and excellent. There is a take away too, a pizza place, supermarket, etc. Safety deposit boxes can be hired. Bikes can be hired too. Email me for anymore information if required Helen@hbellas.wanadoo.co.uk.

Unique Quality: Handy location for getting to the high spots of the Cote D'Azur. Just across road from a beach (although pebble one).
Marineland is a theme park which is within 2 mins walking distance. This incorporates Aquasplash, Mini Golf and a farm for young kids. Not cheap, but apparently very good. I can only talk about the farm as that was the only bit we went to.
