Hotel d'Europe: Expensive But Worth It    Check Rates

    • Great location just inside the city walls. This hotel has all the creature comforts without being huge. The staff members were very friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. The hotel is located just a short walk to the Palais d'Papes and entertainment. Would highly recommend. The walk around the city at night was magical. The only potential adverse comment was the parking. The hotel has only valet parking and the parking staff is very fast as the garage is only a hundred meters or so from the entrance. That said, somehow during the two or three times when I had the rental vehicle parked, the right front fender got scrapped. I did not do it and I suppose it could have happened earlier in the trip but the damage was such that I think I would have noticed it. The staff and manager disclaimed any knowledge or responsibility. It turned out ok as the rental car agency didn't charge extra for the event.

    The building is old but has all the modern conveniences. The bathroom and amenities were first class. The breakfasts were a delight.

    Hotel d'europe is an elegant, but not stuffy, hotel just inside the city walls of AvignonThe rooms are all belle epoque style, and a nice size. the grounds are very nice too.. It's situated right across from a square, but the location is very quiet.
