This was my first hotel stay in Europe ever, and the room was much larger than I had anticipated. My fiance and travel partner (who is a veteran of European travel) are in agreement on the size. The bathroom was also pretty large as well. In all very comfortable. Beaulieu is a small town and one can walk to get anywhere from the hotel. The train station is about 3 - 4 blocks away, and so from there you have access all along the coast. The casino (although closed in November when we were there) and the beach for that matter is a few blocks away from the hotel. The hotel is on the eastern part of the town and which makes it easy to take a nice leisurely walk to St. Jean Cap Ferrat within 20 - 40 minutes. The staff is multilingual and extremely helpful in directing us to the local sites. This was a very easy place to stay as an outpost for our jaunts throughout the Riviera. There were some noise issues as our room overlooked a recreation center with outdoor basketball courts, but that didn't last late enough to be any sort of problem.
I was sad to leave the place because I would miss the breakfasts. Of course this featured local fruits, meats, cheeses, yogurts breads, etc, but what a treat. We were each given a small individual pot of exellent coffee at our table and there was a long table with all the goodies: Pastries, cereals, fruits, cured meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, eggs (to be boiled). Now this may be the case with all hotels in the area, but I was competely satisfied (and very full) each morning.
