Even the elevator-music was low-class
I stayed here in summer 2004, during the Cannes Lions festival.
This 2-stars hotel was not the place I would bring my girlfriend. You could actually see that the walls in the room was dirty.
But they wanted to be like a real hotel. And a real hotel has elevator-music! That is probably an expence they could'nt afford, so they have just attached a cheap radio in the ceiling of the elevator with some strong tape, and turned it on. That was nice.
Take a look at the picture. This is the hotels official picture, and I think it has a naiv charm. They try to use a yellow sportscar to make the hotel look more luxurious!
The location was very good. It was just off the main shopping street, rue d'Antibes, but still in a quiet street. Only a three minutes walk from the Croisette, the beach and 5 minutes from the festival-building.
