Sainte-Anne chapel(12th century) has a exhibition"musigues du monde".This is a collection of 200 musical instruments from all over the world.Such places as Asia, Pacific and Africa.From the tower you have an exellent view of Cannes all along the coastline.I found that alone worth the walk to the chapel.I found the old part of Cannes the most scenic.

la Croisette

Named after its cresent-like shape, boulevard de la Croisette hugs the length of le baie de Cannes from le Vieux Port to Port Canto, the two ports of Cannes. Once a quiet boulevard lined with 19th century mansions where wealthy Brits and Russians sought refuge from darker, colder winters, la Croisette has since evolved into the epicentre of summer crowds and action. Fashionable beaches, designer boutiques, five star hotels, and an abundance of cafés and restaurants, have turned la Croisette into an interesting scene. Whether you are in Cannes to relax, or to see and be seen, la Croisette is the place to be.

La Malmaison

The 19th century Malmaison is one of the few remaining mansions from the bygone era along la Croisette. It was originally a pavilion in the gardens of the 19th century legendary Grand Hôtel and is the sole survivor of the original complex. It served as the casino and tea room of the 1863 Grand Hôtel. After the demolition of the original hotel building, la Malmaison was purchased by the city of Cannes and now houses the Department of Cultural Affairs, as well as an exhibition hall for the arts. Sadly, a more modern, but much less pretty, Grand Hôtel building replaced the original classic and has continued to serve as a hotel, albeit with a lot less fame and glamour (see photos).

Of course we all know that main event in Cannes is Cannes Film Festival. But it isn't main reason for impressive hotels which are there along la Croisette. People go there to relax and to watch another more than 300 events in Cannes every year. So at any time you can to enjoy yourself there.
