Vieux Le Cannet
by NiceLife
It was years before I discovered this most beautiful hidden gem just two miles north of Cannes. It takes a little effort to get there - but its worth it ten times over. Take a bus from Cannes centre to LeClerc Le Cannet (end of the line) and follow signs up for old Le Cannet.
The highlight is the magical Place Bellevue and the rue Le Sauveur. Four restaurants form an alfresco eating space with a view down over Cannes and the distant sea. The street is wonderful old classic French with artists workshops and artefacts. It is truly a gem
Film Festival 2003 - part 1

This year we had Keanu Reeves on the red carpet, as well his Matrix Reloaded cast mates. Other famous people? I had only Keanu Reeves in mind, to be honest...
Too bad I don't have a good zoom in my camera... :(((
Cannes, a international town hall
by Pavlik_NL
The town hall of Cannes is situated between the old and the new parts of town. Directly across the monument for the fallen hero's in the two world wars, the municipal central administration is in a large yellowish-orange building with some architectural beauty, but not as extravagant as one should think with this mondain place.
So, here's where the Cannes people get married ... maybe even a couple of stars could silently choose to be wed here.
Cannes - Bonjour - Au Revoir

"Rich & Famous"
The Cote d' Azur, or the French Riviera has some of the best known beaches in the world,
probably the most famous is Cannes.
Cannes got famous for its film festival in May
filled with divas, moviestars, starlets
filled with yaughts
filled with money
filled champagne
filled with mobile phones.
I visited Cannes several times and, during a visit together with Miss Priscilla Presley, ex-wife of Elvis Presley.
As her "personal make-up adviser" we explored the Cote D'Azur, Cannes, and the wonderfull Carlton Hotel ...
a place for the rich & famous
merci for visit
still under construction
