Seafood in Cannes
by Sakura_Kobe about Cafe Rome
I couldn't help but eat seafood in Cannes. I recommend you "Cafe Rome" near the Palais des Festivals. The restaurant set up like green house where you can enjoy the warm sunshine and delicious food with reasonable price. We ordered mainly seafood of course such as bouillabaisse, salada nicoise etc. Bon Appetit!

We really enjoyed walking around the city of Cannes. We were there during the film festival, so there was always that chance of seeing someone famous. It never happened for us, but Cannes is so beautiful we didn't really care much.
Eglise Orthodoxe Russe Saint Michel-Archange
by MM212
Once a winter destination, Cannes was frequented in the late 1800s by the Russian aristocracy escaping harsh winters in their homelands. As the influx and influence of the community increased, Eglise Saint Michel-Archange, a Russian Orthodox church, was built in Cannes to serve the members. Naturally, the distinctive Russian architectural style, complete with its blue onion-shaped dome and colourful façade, was chosen for the church. The church lies hidden in a residential neighbourhood away from the sight of mass tourists who visit Cannes.
The City of festivals....

When Coco Chanel came here, got a suntan and returned to Paris bronzed, she startled the milk-white ladies of society.
Today the bronzed bodies in nearly nonexistent swimsuits are everywhere in the sandy beaches of this chic resort.
Cannes is the "star" of the French Riviera, famous for the International Film Festival and the glitzy hotels, cars, beaches and visitors attracted here.
