Do you mean the Casino supermarket by any chance? Unfortunately there's more than one of them although only one really big one which I believe is on Rue Volta (but I'm not 100% sure of the address. I will post another entry when I find out for sure

Nearly right....
According to the yellow pages it's
Casino France
54 bd Alsace
06400 CANNES
Tel : 04 97 06 35 60
fax : 04 97 06 35 69
Or follow the link below and search on the name Casino, locality of Cannes and department of 06400. Here you should be able to view a picture of all of the Casino shops in Cannes to make sure it's the correct branch.

Supermarche Casino
22.24 Av. des Anglais
06400 CANNES
Tel : 04.93.68.07.87
Fax : 04.92.99.01.74
Casino is a giant supermarket chain with tens of thousands of stores all across Europe. There are several others on Cannes and they are on every second street in most French cities.
Are you sure you want to call a supermarket?
Good luck anyway - those almonds must have been very good!

Casino is my favorite French supermarket. Check out the chocolate. They carry Valrhona. You won't find that at Monoprix.
I'll have to check the almonds next time we're there. 8^)
Travel Tips for Cannes
Train station (Gare SNCF Cannes)
by Elainehead
Like many train stations in France, this place looks dirty (I'm sure it is)...but you will only have to be here, if you have a train to catch (DUH!). It's the fastest way to get to Nice and other cities. If you're taking a local train, there is no need to buy in advance. Instead of queueing and buying your ticket at the counter, use those ticket machines. One-way single ticket to Nice costs 6€10. SUMMER TIP: if it's summer and you're planning to buy a return ticket, prefer buying "carte isabelle", which costs 12€ - do the math! - it's basically an unlimited single day train ticket (local trains along the French Riviera and Ventimiglia, Italy).
If you need to go to the loo, the WC in the station doesn't have a lock, so you'd better have someone to guard the door.
If need tourist information, there's a small tourism office just outside the station (left side as you leave the station).
Promenade
by codrutz
The promenade in Cannes is pretty similar to the one in Nice, a little bit smaller but still very long and enjoyable to walk on. No trees on the sea side so attention in summer days you need absolutely to wear sun shades and a hat to avoid the heat directly in the head.
Le Suquet clocktower and museum
by NiceLife
Crowning the vantage point at Le Suquet Brilliant vantage point for panoramas to the east overlooking the town and beach, and to the west looking up the Golfe Madelieu towards the Esterel. Within the courtyard is the marble bench dedicated to one of Queen Victorias sons who died in Cannes. The museum appears permanently closed for lunch.

This was scary, walking up to this dude and asking for a picture together with him. Funny though, check him out, he's smaller than me!
One of my friends said it looked like I could kick his butt. Well. I don't agree.
