Venice in France
"Unparalleled Beauty"
Imagine you are sitting in a café on a narrow bridge over a crystal clear river as it flows across a garden of emerald greenery. The smiling young waitress, trim and pleasant, approaches you. "Vous avez choisi?" Behind her you see the stone walls of the tenth century church rising above the rooftops. People pass on the promenade before shops and bistros, children and adults alike pass under the small bridge upon which you sit in colorful kayaks. You feel their feet pushing against the bridge below you as they rock back in their boats to gain some leverage and speed at this juncture -- as well as to avoid crashing into the low bridge. You watch the irridescent aqua colored libellules, or dragonflies, as they swoop over the bridge and past the trees. They are so large, at first you mistake them for birds! Breathing in the warm night air, a smile develops across your face as you sigh with deep happiness. You think, "I'm actually here in this magical place!" For no spot on earth can match the sheer delight of this small French hameau, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorge.
