It's a terrific hotel directly at the sea, beneath a small public beach at the end of the "Vieux Port", at the start of the Corniche promenade - about 20 min to walk to city center, but best take bus 54 or 81 from metro Estrangin (or 81/83 from Vieux Port). The corniche promenade is directly opposite of Chateau d'If with a terrific view on the sea - it has many nice and still normally priced fish restaurants - not so touristic as around vieux port. The hotel has the advantage, that the sea-side rooms (most are) really go direct to the sea, so you do not hear anything of the quite loud Corniche road, which seems to be used as a short way to the city by many cars from outside.
The rooms and the terrace are styled by artists in sea style, and due to the "ship feeling" at the seaside, they are absolutely terrific. On the terrace, birds eventually will share the breakfast with you. Only problem: Once you will have to leave.
Unique Quality: Calm rooms directly at sea side in the otherwise loud Marseille city center
Terrific view to Chateau d'If
Very near to public beach
Free WiFi / WLAN
Directions: Start of Corniche Promenade, take bus 54/81/83, or walk from Port Vieux
