Cheap and cheerful
I stayed here in 2001 with my boyfriend. Slightly tatty hotel, but cheap - we had a large room with shower and washbasin. Owner is very friendly - you get a discount if you have the latest Guide Routard. Substantial french style breakfast (croissant, bread and hot chocolate) is served in the little conservatory at the back. Close to St Charles station, in a safe but dismal street - not a very nice area. However, if you want a cheap and clean place, you can't do much better.
Unique Quality: Close to station, friendly.
