i am going to menton in october on a sunday
what is the best way to get there from nice airport

train and bus

Re: transport

by NiceLife

I think Pedmar means this bus -

The Route 110 is the airport express coach service running between the Airport, Monaco and Menton, via the motorway

The bus is the best way.

In order to get the train you have a slightly complex walk of a half mile off airport to Nice St Augustin, and it involves an inconvenient change of train at Monaco due to tunnel works at the present time.

Travel Tips for Menton

Palais des Congres de Menton

by Pavlik_NL

Like all larger towns along the world famous Cote d'Azur, Menton also has it's "Palais the Congres" or Congress centre. The building is of nice architecture and is on the right side from the Jardin Bioves (central park) when walking through it from the Casino side.

Markets, shops, colours, smells and atmosphere

by Pavlik_NL

Menton streets have a very nice and cosy atmosphere. the colours of the houses, the small and various shops, the mixed Italian-French styles and people ... all add to this specific wonder for visitors. Very nice are the markets, such as the large food market near where the Promenade du Soleil meets the Quay de Monleon. Here many exotic fruits, dishes and vegetables are sold. Outside there often is a art and antique market, that only improves this warm and wonderful atmosphere.

Sailingboats, always a joy to look at them

by Pavlik_NL

The Marina of Menton is not like many other Cote d'Azur harbours a massive construction to house as many as possible boats in it. The Menton harbour is not that large and lays directly next to the old town that offers great restaurants, culture, history and entertainment in various ways for the sailors. Menton harbour is also a joy to walk around and dream to one day also come here by boat.

Menton, France (just!)

by Doug767

Menton was founded on the Comtes of Vintimiglia domain. Menton belonged to the Grimaldi family (Monaco) from 1346 till 1848, and on the 2nd february 1861 officially became french.

Right on the French - Italian border (just in France) Menton has a natural Italian influence. Surrounded by mountains, Menton is protected from cold northerly winds, similar to the rest of the Cote d'Azure, benefits from good weather...
