This hotel is perfectly placed for old Nice and for other city attractions. Reception staff are very good indeed, efficient and pleasant. Internally the hotel is smart and clean; rooms are good and quite spacious
We stayed for four nights at this hotel. It is located near to the Promenade Des Alglais, The Albert Gradens, markets, beach, shops, bars and restaurants and is a great base. The hotel is 4* and a really lovely hotel. From the moment you enter the hotel you know you will have a nice stay and the staff are very friendly if you need any help on getting to know where things are or booking you a taxi. The rooms were a big size with a huge bed and plenty of wardrobe space. You have in your room: mini bar, hair dryer, air con, safe, tv, radio and wake up calls.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice break in a great location.
Unique Quality: The BEST thing about this hotel is the roof area. If i remember right there is an area with sunbeds where you can top up your tan and a bar and restaurant. We spent many evenings up there after dinner having a drink and taking in the amazing views down over the town and the Albert Gardens.
Also the breakfast are amazing here from fresh fruits and cooked breakfast to pastries and omlets made to order while you wait, yum yum
After my conference in Cannes, I moved to the Plaza Concorde Hotel in Nice for an extended stay in the Cote d'Azur. The Plaza Concorde is an elegant first class hotel which faces the Jardin Albert and is only a short walk to the Old Town.
Unique Quality: My hotel room overlooked the Jardin Albert. The bus stop to the airport is just one minute walk from the hotel. In 1995, the price for a single room was surprisingly affordable - 550FF.
Directions: Right in front of Jardin Albert
My boyfriend and I had a decent stay in this hotel. Our room, a standard, even came with a fantastic private terrace and a beautiful view of the Beach and Sea. Can't complain about that!
On the down side the room was fairly expensive. We had been promised a king sized bed, but got in to find two twins. The twins pushed together nicely and we slept comfortably but it was still a bit of a pain in the ass. A king would have been better. The service staff wasn't the friendliest, but in France that's to be expected. The french, afterall, are notorious for being a little rude.
The location was FANTASIC. A 5 minute walk from the beach, and very very close to the old city centre. Loved that!
On the downside the hotel (and the entire city!) was very expensive. My boyfriend paid SEVENTEEN EUROS for a gin and tonic at the hotel bar on the roof. YIKES! The buffet breakfast was an additional 18E per person, per day, and it really wasn't all that great. Also, there's no free parking for guests.. so you're stuck paying like ten euros a day for parking. It all adds up!
Unique Quality: Private Beach.. however, it costs $$ per day for use. Well worth the money, though for the comforable sun chairs and service.
Close to shopping, old city, castle, and beach. Very central.
Directions: Right near the Louis Vitton store.
4 star Italian chain hotel, priced in consequence but I would say without too many reasons....
It started wrong as we arrived by 10 am and the room was ready by 2pm in spite of previous instructions (u could check in immediately - what a joke:)
When we got in & I was having a shower I realized it was a problem with the water system - le bidet & le baignore were not working....therefore we spent the evening visting other rooms available...we ended up with three keys & rooms ....during 4 days
Unique Quality: if ure lucky u might get a nice furnished room
