Went to Nice with my friend and our two 11 years old daughter last summer. As we were on a tight budget, we spent the week at Hotel Helvetique, which in my eyes were perfectly located with a short walking distance to old Town, the Beach and city.
The room was ok, with a tv and a small fridge, great bathroom and a balcony. Service was rather poor: we needed a lightbolb since one was broken, but we didn't get one.
Poor breakfast, but to the price of 574 for an enitire week it was so worth it.
I recommend this hotel to someone who does not have high expectations on the accomodation, and who can satisfy their own needs on a stay like this.

Is it a good hotel? the room I saw from the web is very good, it look tiidy and full of sunshine, is anyone been there, any comment on it, I must make my decision very soon, please help me to make up my mind.

I've never stayed at this hotel but I had a quick look at it on the internet and the location is great although you will not have a sea view. You are close to every thing in central Nice and not that far from the train station - even closer to the main bus station. All the main sights of Nice including the Old Town are within a few minutes' walk. If you are going in the summer, may be check if there is air-conditioning - if it gets as hot as last year, you may suffer! Have a great holiday, Lisa www.allaboutNice.com
