Breakfast
by BurgerQueen
Breakfast cannot be missed when you visit France.
Even if you usually do not eat in the morning, you cannot be indifferent in front of a croissant, pain au chocolat, torsade, etc.
A lot of bars have breakfast menus (for 4-5€) and, if the weather is nice, you can eat outside end enjoy the French atmosphere.

Go shopping in Avenue Jean-Médecin (Galeries Lafayette, Sephora, Fnac, Virgin Megastore, Etam, H&M, Marionnaud, etc).
Since the tramworks has started, this avenue has been chaotic, mostly for pedestrians and drivers! If you are a pedestrian be warned of the narrow sidewalks (pavement). I can't imagine how it's gonna be in the summer...
If you are a very patient person, you won't have any problems.
For Mid June

Nice tends to be quite warm, so dress lightly, although it is a dry heat so it won't be as uncomfortable as much of Eastern Canada and Eastern United States is at the this time of year. Also bring proper walking shoes as sandals may be good for the beach, but will be uncomfortable when walking on the streets where many are cobble stoned.

One of the most beautiful sites is the Lake 'Lac de St Cassien' located about 20 km from the town of Grasse.
When all the beaches are crowded and you are looking for a quiet spot, where you can be completely on your own you must come here...
You will have to climb down a few rocks and through the forest but you will be rewarded with your own small bay.
Don't miss it!!
Window shopping
by Kate-Me about various
We didn't have much time for shopping, but that's ok as I'm mostly a window shopper anyway.
I must say, even looking in the shop windows is a great experience. Everything from handcrafts from Provence tucked away in charming little alleyways only a stone's throw from the waterfront, Patisserie windows with all those gorgeous cakes and pastries, and my favorite, mini quiche.
I also just enjoyed looking at all the shop buildings, so old and different from anything we have in Australia. We did however buy a couple of good pairs of Sandals, which cost far less than we were expecting and have lasted well through the years now.
So, my shopping remembrances about Nice are mainly about shoes, and the patient shopkeepers who persevered with my slow and often hesitant French.
