Central, comfortable, good value
Stayed one week in Aug/Sept 2007. Two of us were in a triple room which was comfortable, spacious, simply furnished and had effective double-glazing and air conditioning. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned regularly and satisfactorily. The hotel has no restaurant (just a small breakfast room) but there are restaurants literally next door. Breakfast was what I think of as typical "continental" - fruit juice, baguette, croissant, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, coffee - and a very acceptable start to the day.
Location is great for the Gare SNCF train station (a few minutes walk) and the main shopping street (Jean Medecin) but is a considerable hike (approx 15 mins) to the Gare Routiere bus station, Old Town or Promenade - however, that should be remedied by the new tramway which passes a few metres from the hotel door.
This is a simple hotel with few facilities but, if your intention is just to sleep and have breakfast there, it is excellent value for money. Its location is good and will get better with the new tramway.
I would be happy to return to it.
