Room 31 was more spacious than a lot of NYC apartments, looking over the peaceful front garden and fountain.

The Brice also has a sauna, a tanning bed and a small workout room.

The multilingual staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they had the best selection of TV channels of the whole trip.

If you book online, you get a free glass of champagne at the Casino Ruhl, located a few blocks away.

Directions: This hotel is located in a quiet residential area only a few blocks from the Promenade des Anglais and the Beach.

There are so many hotels to choose from in Nice. I would recommend finding a hotel in Centre Ville or if you can afford it right along the famous Promenade des Anglais. This way you have easy access to the beach, to Vieux Nice, to the train station if you plan to make any excursions, and Centre Ville is only about a 10min taxi ride from the Nice Aéroport. This year I stayed at the Hotel Splendid (which I loved) and last year at Hotel Brice (very nice as well)

Unique Quality: Hotel Splendid has a beautiful panoramic view of the city. If you don't want to pay extra for a room which looks out on the sea, you can still have a view from your balcony that is magnificent, looking out onto the mountains.

Directions: Hotel Splendid is on Boulevard Victor Hugo and Hotel Brice is one block closer to the beach on rue Meyerbeer
