Nice resturants

by mfordjones

I'm organising my friend's hen party this September in Nice. In addition to a day in Monaco I would like to book a good restaurant in Nice. I'm looking for somewhere suitable for 13 young women (30-37yrs)!! We would like somewhere contemporary, lively atmosphere, nice decor that doesn't cost the earth - say 25-35 euros per head?

Thanks, hope you can help.

Thanks. Yes you might be lucky to miss us this time! We're on a hen party - a civilised one at that but no doubt when the champagne is flowing!

Out of interest have you been to La Voglia ( It has good reviews and appears as critics choice on Time Out?

Lets cut to the chase: this is a hen party, not an intimate dinner. Thirteen "young " women who want a quiet evening? I recommend Cafe de Nissa who specialise in this sort of event

Just off Place Masenna, so its bang in the centre and not difficult to find, and your party being loud won't annoy the other diners.

I thought La Table d'Oc Restaurant in Nice was nice. There are families there, traditional food, and there's enough space to book a large group. I've mentioned a few others around town at, but that one might be your best bet.

Travel Tips for Nice

Well dressed!

by ct-bound

Everyone in Nice is thin and stylish. If you are going to Nice, I recommend bringing styling suits and shoes, or else you'll find yourself going shopping.

The 'pashmina' scarf/shawl was ubiquitous for women, accompanied by the Louis Vuitton bag and designer pantsuit and jacket.

Have drinks on the rooftop!

When on vacation, there is one thing we really need to keep in mind: RELAX. A lot of people get bogged down on all the excursion planning and schedules, that the vacation just flies by and before you know it you're on your way back home and straight back to the office. Maybe you have tons of pictures to show your friends of every monument, museum, and shots of every square inch of the town, but you wind up more exhausted than before you left.
My fondest memories of Nice, are just sitting outside, on the balcony/beach/rooftop/ or where ever, enjoying a nice cold beverage, reading a book, or sharing a pleasant conversation with a good friend. Nice is the perfect place to relax and just feel good doing absolutely nothing! :)

Nice is also a city of art and culture and after Paris, has the most museums in France. Our favorite museum here is Musèe des Beaux-Arts. This beautiful art museum was established in 1928 in the magnificent house built in 1878 for the Ukrainian Princess Kotschoubey. On the ground floor the visitor discover regional schools and works of the 17 -n 19th century artists (Henrick Van Somer, Jean Fragonard, Van Loo and others). The second floor allotted to the art of 19 - 20th century.

We visited the factory in Grasse. It was a wonderful experience. We were brief on perfume making and got to sample a few of their new perfumes. We were also given a few samples for free.

The smell of flowers is simply enchanting. We bought some perfumes, soaps, cosmetics

The perfume capital of the world. Visit the Fragonard Perfumery . Here you can smell the wonderful aroma of some of the worlds greatest perfume blends. You can also buy small sample bottles of your favourite fragrances under the disguise of another name, for a very small amount of their usual price.
