But you've got to go down the main boulevard leading to the long Jardin Anglais. Between that and the beachfront Boluevard Anglais and Blvd. Etats-Unis is a huge area of old little shops in a pedestrian area. There's a lot of fresh seafood markets and the ambieance is very nice. The beach itself isn't really that bad. You actually get used to the stones after awhile. Just don't hang around the wall there, a lot of people have used it as a communal toilet. And try to go to The Rock. It's a little hard to find. How I did it was walk up the Jardin Anglais, then cut across the boulevard there into the pedestrian area. There was a church in the middle of it all, then you turn left and begin scaling the steep hill to The Rock.
