Nice Hotel in a Nice Location
A friendly hotel that fills up fast, so book early!
Unique Quality: Several rooms have private balconies. Room 50, for instance, is a pretty room with a beautiful view from the balcony. It's a great place for sharing a bottle of sparkling wine with your loved one as you watch the sun set and the city lights come on.

Friendly Hotel
La Malmaison is a hotel located halfway between the train station and the beach. It is a three star hotel with a big room and the staff are very friendly. They allowed me to use the cleaner's room to iron some shirts for an interview.

Best value accommodation on the French Riviera
I'm planning to fly in to Nice for 2 nights in late July. Appreciate any advice on accommodation. Is it better to stay in a hotel in Nice or Villafrance or other neaby towns? Any recommendation on hotels? Preferably somewhere central, near the beack. 3* or 4*. thanks

We enjoyed the Hotel Windsor. Definately unique. Some of the rooms have art themes and there is a zen room in the attic.
The best part is a wonderful quiet courtyard.
Centrally located, it is within walking distance of everything.
It was just published as a best small hotel or something like that.

We stay up the hill so I won't suggest our hotel. You also didn't give any price range which would be helpful.
You could type Nice into the VT search window above. You'll get a list of VT Travel Pages and on the left are Tips. Click on Hotel and Accomodation tips and you'll have lots to look at.
Next type NiceLife into the VT search window as a member search. When you get to NiceLife's Home Page, scroll right to his Travel Pages and click on Nice. He has many excellent suggestions for Nice.
When people answer you here, click on their names and you will go to their Home Page. Scroll over to their Travel Pages and click on their Nice page. You can get an amazing amount of information that way.

Some hotels have already been fully booked for the period that I'm interested in (July 21st to July 24th) My shortlist has 3 hotels :- Hotel Brice, Comfort Hotel Roosevelt and La Malmaison. Would appreciate any advice as to which one to go with. Thanks

We are going to Nice later this year. After checking Tripadvisor extensively, Hotel Comfort Roosevelt was our choice. It is centrally located, economical and received a long list of good reviews. If you decide to stay there, let us know how you liked it.
