In the URL enclosed a list of all hotels in nice. However I must emphasis that prices inside towns are always higher then in places outside town. In the inland mountains the villages offer great B&B places, romantic as well as luxereous. Also, in the mountains the temperatures are lower then along the coastline and in town. Here one can have temperatures at night being more comfortable. For those who can't stand the heat ... look up a nice place in the mountains just behind Nice (to town it anyway will be only half an hour.
One Word -" AMAZING " This hotle sinifies all the royalty & luxury you can think of. You just feel to be in a wonderland for a while. Its a real luxorious hotle & fi you wana spend your saved money for a real great time , then this should be it. I rate is as the best Chateau Hotel in the world & if one day i will have money i will definately stay there.
Nice Courteous Staff
Jaw dropping luxury and location.
Not cheap, but if you stay here, you're not counting the pennies.
Wholeheartedly recommend for everyones' "once in a lifetime" list.
Architecture, setting, facilities, service...
Though this is not an hotel or "serviced" accomodation - it's been the best stay ever. Rent the apartment through www.france-nice.com.
Beautiful apartment with 2 bedrooms and extra beds available. 100 squaremetre apartment with all facilities, 105 squaremetre large terrace. Overhanging the ocean, just past the harbour. 15 minutes lazy walk to the old town.
One star means exactly that - nothing fancy but a charming traditional belle epoche building and a super location ideal for all tranport connections shopping and access to the attractions of Nice and beyond.
Family run, ideal for really tight budget or student.
Low cost for a really handy location.
40 euro a night for single, 49 for double, for room with wc and shower
The Hotel Au Picardy is a small family run inn that is best suitable for young travelers on a budget. The best aspect of this place is its location -- literally footsteps away from the main Nice bus station and in the heart of Le Vieux Nice for great food and local shops. For a double room, you get a spacious queen bed, a remodeled bathroom, and some basic amentities. The service is the lacking part of this place... there is no one at the front desk after 8PM and all concerns will have to wait until the next morning. But for $20Euros per person a night, I won't complain.
This sweet Hotel is just outside of Nice in nearby Grasse.
It is situated on a Mountain top giving the hotel guests a wonderful view of the city of Grasse beyond!
The location is great, you save a bit by not being right in Nice, but there is easy access to all the major highways and wonderful cities and towns outside of Nice that are worth a visit!
We really enjoyed our stay. Only one thing I must mention, we were obligated to purchase breakfast with our hotel room even if we didn't want to eat breakfast at the hotel!!! The price for Breakfast is 7 Euros per person, it included a small baguette and a croissant per person with jams and various other spreads coffee, tea and juice.
The owners are warm, friendly, and quite helpful.
The location is amazing! The fresh mountain air will surely wake you up on any morning!
We arrived in Nice with nowhere to stay. Our friend there had arranged for us to stay in a cheap hotel. And cheap it was. Situated on the edge of what must have been the red light district, this filth ridden hotel boasted dirty corridors, smelly rooms and pubes on the obviously uncleaned sheets. Splendid.
The one redeemeing factor was the receptionist/owner of the place. He told us to return by 12midnight, yet we didn't arrive back until around 3am. He was friendly and didn't seem to mind getting up to let us in. That night we didnt sleep in the beds, they were THAT dirty, we slept on them. I would not reccommend this hotel to any one unless they were really stuck. It was by no means a pleasurable stay, and the next morning, we were delighted to leave in search of a more suitable lodging.
There were pubes on our beds, a mattress in the hallway. Our doors hardly locked. Luckily i didn't have to use the toilet while i was there. It was an experience though...
This is absolutely the best way to get the real vibe of a place, and generally (especially in this case) much less expensive than a hotel. We had a studio apartment in Old Nice, with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, double bed plus double sofa bed, a hallway with tons of closet space, and lots of room and most importantly, atmosphere.
Walking into the marble entry, with our bags of fresh veggies, pate, cheese, wine and baguettes really gave the feeling of being part of the old town.
On top of Eze, with fabulous views of the ocean and the surrounding towns. None of the rooms are alike, and all professionally decorated. Extremely luxurious, even the junior rooms!
The best view on Earth! As well, a fantastic pool, great local walking, beautiful gardens, and romantic rooms!
We rented a 2 room apartment on the side street just off Promenade des Anglais, next to Negresco. It came really cheap as the owners were our friends from Poland.
The apartment had the best location I could imagine. It couldn't get any better :-)
We stayed in a cheap, budget hotel quite close to the station. I can't remember the name or even the street, though I do remember there was a pizzeria next door. We were very lucky in that our room, on the top floor, had a balcony overlooking the street, and it was a nice place to sit out and have dinner or drink wine. The hotel itself wasn't amazing but it was in a safe, central location and was very good value.
There are many campgrounds along the Medeterranian coast. We preferred the 2 to 3 star variety. They were all very clean. Note: campgrounds in Europe do not include camp tables!
$10 to $15 average US equivalent.
Hotels and hostels are easy to find in the centre of town. Campings you can find just out of the city. An example is Parc Montana 'Le Sourire', Route de Grasse / D 2085, 06270 Villeneuve/Loubet, tel. 93 20 96 11, Fax 93 22 07 52.
My brother at the pool of campground Moulin Nou. The pool is open from 10.00 till 20.00 (10 am till 8 pm).
