If you're very, very rich......
If you're very, very rich... you can try booking a room here at the posh CANNES CARLTON HOTEL. It is said that the then unknown BB (that's Brigitte Bardot - thank you) strapped on a sexy bikini in 1952 and posed for eager photographers here at the hotel. She effectively put TWO things on the world map - HERSELF and the CARLTON HOTEL. :-) The rest, as we all know, is history. If old world elegance and being just steps away from the Palais is your idea of glamor, then this is the hotel for you. We also managed to take a peek at the nightclub on the top-most floor... and unless you are dressed in latest fashion ensemble, don't even bother to enter (as we discovered). Because you won't be able to....
If you go during the off-peak season, you can get a room for less than US$100 per night. Not kidding. Try this website:
If you decide to come during the peak summer months, be prepared to fork out as much as US$500 and above per night for a simple room.
Excellent star-spotting opportunities abound, esp. during the Cannes Film Festival.

We stayed at Hotel Miron...the owner was VERY nice to us, probably because we're CANADIAN!! Heh..
It was about 350 FF per person for 3 nights, which we thought was very reasonable!
We were on the top floor, with a HUGE balcony, private bathroom, colour t.v, kitchen available for a small fee (just in case you wanted to cook for yourself), and a very nice owner!

Stay in the South of France, 5 minutes on foot to the sparkling, blue sea. So much to do and see in this French Riviera, one of the most beautiful places on this planet, steeped in culture and history. We are in the heart of the Côte d'Azur, and part of Provence. This is where the Alps meet the Mediteranean, where the light has attracted famous painters (Cezanne, Picasso, Matisse, Chagall) and where healthy food and succulant wines are to be enjoyed in small, family restaurants in true French style. To see our apartment, please visit our web site http://frenchriviera.bizland.com/ or http://members.nbci.com/cotedazur/. Happy holidays!
We rent our apartment by the week. Prices vary according to time of year - from US$300 to 650 per week.
Please look at our web site for more details: http://frenchriviera.bizland.com/ or http://members.nbci.com/cotedazur/.

We stayed at the hotel Monseigner. It was friendly and the staff was helpful. Although the elevator seemed to be on it's last legs. We found out from some Americans that there is a Hotel Canada. How ironic.
