Knee Boarding
by reeka
Knee boarding was offered toward the end of the week as a bit of light hearted fun.
It was surprisingly difficult to get a good position on the knee board, and then having to pull yourself up on to your knees whilst the boat is pulling you.
Once on the board its great feeling the force of the waves whilst being pulled at speed. Boat, rope, and a knee board.
Its a lighthearted sport, but is harder than it looks.
Restaurants

As you can expect there are expensive, more expensive and outrageous expensive restaurants. As long as you have money in your pocket to afford a dinner there you should stay at one of the restaurants on the harbor side and enjoy the moment.
St Tropez

"Playground of the rich"
St. Tropez is a coastal city in the south of France. In the harbour are parked hundreds (if not thousands) of boats of visiting yaghties. While the sun and setting are definitely inviting, the atmosphere, prices and general feel of the place, I found not to be. People won't give you the time of day, let alone even look or smile at you. I'm not sure if these are the locals or yaghties, but as a result, St. Tropez is not a place I wish to ever visit again.
"St Trozpet"
The sole reason for me visiting St Tropez was because of the Gendarme movies filmed here, of wich I am a huge fan. I grew up on these movies (as well as other Louis de Funes movies), and it was really cool to see the places they filmed. Not only the Gendarmerie, but also the square in front, cafes they drank in and on the waterfront where they had the parades at the end of the movies.
Random Pics of St Tropez

St Tropez has a very large open-air market on every Tuesday and Sunday mornings (people will start to empty their market stalls at around 1 PM).
It's always a pleasure to see these markets that are so characteristic of southern French cities. There are so many colors, just have a look at these spices...
