Nice Winery Near St Tropez

by salford66

I've heard there are some nice wineries to have dinner close to St Tropez, thought it may be a good idea if we get a bit tired of the glitz......any ideas greatly appreciated. Also, can anybody recommend some good reasonably priced authentic French restaurants in St Tropez....

Hi I can recommend chateau des garcinieres its very close to Staint Tropez on the N98 between Cogolin and La Foux (that's where the luna park is) the entrance to the chateau will be on your left as you approach Cogolin.

Travel Tips for Saint-Tropez

view from the citadel

by gabyne

It's not too hard to climb the stairs to the citadel. You will be rewarded with a beautiful view of St. Tropez and the surrounding sea.

In the picture you can see the distinctive red-yellow Portalet Tower which was part of the original defensive system completed in the late 15 th century.

Park

by codrutz

There is a small park in St. Tropez, not really a park as it is mostly sand and some trees, with a restaurant on a side. It is mostly used by locals to play "boules" - the game with the heavy metal balls being thrown to the small little one in the sand - a French traditional game.

ROAD TRIPPIN ST TROPEZ

Budget Saint Tropez - Living on baguettes and cheesey poofs, cheap wine and beer from local Super U's Supermarches, Carrefours, L'eclercs, cheap campsites on the beach and large nightclubs in the countryside.
