Water skiing, Take 2
by reeka
I decided to let a couple of people go ahead of me, to see how it was done. Just before my turn I had a horrible thought, that the water would be freezing (I hate the cold!!), all I was wearing was my swimming costume. As I jumped in the water felt beautiful, even at 8 in the morning. I can still remember the warmth of the water now.
We were told to sit in the water with our knees to our chest whilst holding on to the rope. This was easier said than done, for me anyway, the others made it look quite easy. However, I just could not stay like that, I kept drifting to me left side, then to my right, whilst the instructor kept telling me to keep still!!! "Well, I would if I could", I tried to yell, whilst gulping water.
When finally I did manage to hold my balance and get the rope, I got up on the first go, I admit, I didn't stay up for too long, but it showed me how to do it, and the subsequent turns I managed to get up and stay up for a good length of time, even managing the bends and veering side to side!
And afterwards we had a well deserved breakfast at one of the marina's cafe's.
Lovely!! As Tip 1
Overlooking the town from the Citadelle
by NiceLife
Sight seeing in St Tropez is not a big deal - around an hour brisk walk should about do it.
Pretty in every aspect, the view over the town from the citadelle provides fine views. In the distance 5 km north is the venice of the Cote D'Azur - Port Grimaud - and 11 km the modern resort of Saint Maxime.
Saint Tropez : glamorous or simply beautiful?
by ptitetoile
Everybody knows Saint Tropez....by reputation.... so despite all negative aspects like the high prices and the number of tourists, I still wanted to see at least once in my life this legendary place. And in fact....I was really positively astonished! Saint Tropez was really beautiful! And it was even quiet with not many tourists! (I must admit it was off season and during the week). I really enjoyed the seafront but also the bay and the old village! And last but not least, the picturesque panorama from the fortress!
And God Created Brigitte Bardot & ST TROPEZ....

"Bienvenue à St Tropez!"
UNDER CONSTRUCTION.... PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN....
Merci Beaucoup!
WELCOME to the undisputed gem of the French Reviera - ST TROPEZ. This is also where the great BB aka Brigitte Bardot called home.
I have seen a few of her sexy old movies and I must say - she looked really beautiful when she was much, much younger. ;-) This was how I got to hear of St Tropez. Not an ingenious way but certaining unusual!
Our first stop this morning was at the beautiful marina.... Les Marines de Cogolin. Actually to be honest, I was really hoping to bump into Ms Bardot herself and get her to part with her autograph ... or perhaps take a photo with her (whichever way seems easiest and without Ms Bardot throwing me first into the cool waters of the Harbor!).
So, you think this wise plan of mine will work? If you're in favor, then follow me.... as we go in search of not only Ms Bardot herself .... but also other movie stars and celebrities on holiday in this glam town!
