General Info Required
Hi !!
Looking for some general information on St Maxime. I know its near St Tropez so is that were we would need to go or is there much to do and see around st maxime itself?
We have hired a car so have transport to move around. Any ideas/tips/information would be great. We are staying in saint maxime for 4 days so would like to stay pretty close to it and not spend the time in the car!
Any help much appreciated.

You didn't mention when you will be going. Ste. Maxime, St. Tropez and St. Raphael are close enough to walk from one to the other in an hour or visit by bicycle as I once did. These are small, coastal towns geared to the rich tourists who want to eat at expensive retaurants and go to the beach. Frejus is a historic city nearby that you can reach in minutes. It's about 2,000 years old and has some construction preserved from the Roman empire. The main attraction in the three "saints" is doing little or nothing and enjoying the scenery including the red stone formations near St. Raphael called the esterelle. You can drive to Cannes in oh, maybe a half hour and visit a 12th century church. They also have a famous film festival in May. Inland from there is Grasse, another half hour, with its historic perfume industry dating from the 13th century.
