Toulon is not one of the most beautiful cities in France but there are some interesting places to go and remember the coast and the beaches in the city. The main street is "Boulevard de Strasbourg", a commercial avenue placed between the harbour, in the South and the Railway station, in the North. You can find out more in the city's official web site at www.toulon.com.
Anyway, the region is quite beautiful, specially the village of Hyères les Palmieres and other small and beautiful places in the coast such as Bandol, La Londe or Bormes les Mimosas.
I know this city because I was studing there for six months at University with an Erasmus grant.
