This is a Logis de France on the road between Vence and Tourrettes-sur-Loup. There is parking, a garden, accommodation for children's play and each room has a small terrace with table and chairs overlooking the Mediterranean from high on the mountain.
There is a very nice restaurant and in good weather they open the front so it's like eating on a terrace. They have a fish tank and a parrot which we thought interesting. There is the usual well-behaved hotel dog wandering around. It's very homelike.
There is a web site below but you can book through the Logis de France web site by doing a search for Tourrettes. http://www.logis-de-france.fr/uk/
The balconies in each room are wonderful. Another thing that caught my imagination is that the rooms have Haitian paintings in them. There is a large Haitian carving as you enter the dining room (by the fireplace). We inquired and were told that a Haitian worked for them many years ago. We have long collected Haitian paintings so were entranced.
I must mention the world's smallest bath tub. We managed all right, but you dont stretch out in the tub; it's about half the length of a normal bath tub. Other than that, the bathrooms are private and spotless and we managed showering in the mini-tub. I can see that it might put people off though so best to mention it.
The hotel is so very French and family oriented that we just love it. The location can't be beat, easy drive to Vence, St. Paul de Vence, Gourdon, Nice and the Riviera. Love it.
