Le Seignon, the heart of the resort....
by Djinn76
Even if it is quite big, I haven’t found the resort itself very attractive. They are apparently doing an effort (le Fournet), there are still many big and ugly concrete blocks of flats.
There is no real pedestrian way, the only way to go down to the heart of the resort is to walk down the street, along with the cars!!
Le Seignon is indeed a concentration of shops, pub and restaurant in those discussable buildings....
Green Chaud
by Djinn76
This is the name given to a cocktail made of hot chocolate and Chartreuse, a local alcohol. Not too bad but I definitely prefer some Cognac or Armagnac in my hot chocolate…
However no reason to complain! It was offered on Sunday evening by the tourism office. It was indeed their welcome drink when they presented the activities for the week. This is a normal thing in a ski resort but usually they propose blue wine…
Coni, the steepest slopes !!
by Djinn76
This is one of the steepest slopes I have ever seen. It is starting from the chine between the Cold de Crevoux (2530m) and the Pic de Chabrieres, the highest point of the skiing domain (2750m).
You can see it from the Crevoux chairlift but unless someone is going down, you would hardly think there is a slope there…
Not too many people are doing it; it is quite impressive, even more if you don’t get close enough, you wouldn’t even see the slope! At the end it is still doable (even with the first part frozen)!!
Close to it (on the right), there is also the “Kilometre Lance”, this is where professional skiers try to beat the speed records!!
Clos Chardon

A really nice part of the domain! The access is done via a 4 person’s chair-lift but there is only one red slope starting from the top. Lots of people are indeed going off-piste and enjoy the several natural half-pipes.

Located in the Southern Alps, this resort is part of the skiing area called la 'Foret Blanche'.
While I would consider Risoul being more adapted for young people willing to have fun, this resort would be more suited for the family!!
The skiing area is obviously the same for both resorts and with 180km of ski slopes, there is definitely enough to do... even better, the runs are quite different and you can easily find one suiting your skiing level!
