Re: any russian speakers?jobs for eu members?

My reply would be the same as regards your question for Amiens, except that the reference to Russian seems to confirm what I said about the problem for citizens of new Member States (I assume you must be from one of the Baltic States?) who are not yet entitled to work in the EU without a work permit (except in the UK, Ireland and Sweden who - by derogation from the general EU situation under the transitional arrangements that apply until at least 2009 - have a registration scheme instead).
Annecy is more of a tourist destination than Amiens, so there may be casual work available in hotels and restaurants, but probably only during the tourist season. However, I don't think they get huge numbers of Russian-speaking tourists or have much other call for Russian speakers.
Here is an online jobs site for Annecy, if you can get someone to help you translate it into French you could put your CV on it: http://www.annecy.enligne-fr.com/mini_cv.php?code=54f7bbd83cc48d23
Incidentally, these are not really travel questions you are asking, I would advise you to read the Travel Forum guidelines.
Travel Tips for Annecy
'Venice in France'
by firechick
Annecy has amazing architecture in the center of the city, combined with beautiful and tranquil canals with very clear water.
I am still updating this page so come back soon! More pictures to load! Walking around and taking in the buildings is what I enjoy doing most here. There are small hidden details in the architecture everywhere you look if you take the time to see them.
Packing List
by sandravdp
Backpacks when you are tracking or sportsbags when you go camping. Dress lightly in summer. It can get really warm here. Bring along your toothbrush lol! No, seriously bring along some plasters and anti-mosquito cream. Films are available here. Your tent or caravan, unless you hired a tent. When hiring a tent, just bring some food and sleeping bags with you.
the market in the old town and the canal "thiou"
by sylvie-uk
every sunday morning (so i ve been told) , the market takes place in the old town called le veil Annecy.
it attracts a lot of people and gives a real buzz to the town, it s so crowded that in some of the streets you cant even walk.
you will find vegetables, all sort of cheeses( the "tome de Savoie" and the "roblochon" are tipycal from the region ), artisanal decoration, clothing, artisanal bread and much more.
Saint-Francois church
by Lilasel
Constructed in the 16th century as the chapel of the first Visitation monastery called "The Holy Source, it has had a brilliant past due to the splendour of the beatification and canonization of Saint-Fran‡ois-de-Sales and Saint-Jeanne-de-Chantal whose tombs it enclosed. The church, which was richly endowed by all the princes in Europe who made it a place of Pilgrimage, was subject to the biggest downfall at the time of the Revolution. Partially demolished, completely cut up, only the tenacity of a group of faithful followers allowed the whole to be bought back at the end of the last century, then restored and opened for worship once more in 1923, and finally it was acquired by the town in 1968.
Best Little Town in France
by emansf
"Annecy"
This was by far my favorite little town in France...Quiet and peaceful...totally relaxing! We spent 3 days there and can't wait to get back. It seems that its a destination for Europeans and as such we encountered hardly any 'Tourists'.
If you go in the summer, a definite must is swimming at the lake. Its absolutely pristine!
