CILFA: Learn French while living short-term in Annecy

Centre International de Langue Francaise d'Annecy. This is not quite what the average tourist would want, but if you are looking to live here for a few months and learn French in a beautiful setting, this would be it.

You have a choice to stay with a French host family (for better practice of your French!) or to stay in the student accomodations singles or doubles, (all available as B&B options, full board or no meals) or to find your own accomodations.

I haven't stayed in the actual student accomdations myself but was enrolled in a 3 month course with many other students of all ages from all over the world. Everyone enjoyed the class and place they were staying (some were with host families and others in the student housing).

The class sizes are small and you are grouped by level of French (you take a placement test when you arrive the first day). The teachers are great, and every Wednesday you can have an option to partake in a cultural experience in the surrounding area (restaurants, theater etc. are arranged by the staff) after the class with teachers and other students.

Unique Quality: Set in this beautiful city (actually in Annecy-le-Vieux which is quite close by bus ride to Annecy center) you can even choose winter courses that let you ski in the day and learn French at night - what a great way to combine fun and learning! You have time after class and weekends to see the sights and will also make friends with other people from around the world.
