A Month Long Celebration of Ain Culture
As we sat down for lunch across from the Monastery of Brou, we saw a cluster of colorfully costumed individuals assemble in front of the church. Quickly a group of well-dressed individuals appeared (obviously officials), a ribbon was placed, a short speech given, the ribbon cut. Our waiter told us that it being June 1, a month long celebration of Ain culture was beginning. We quickly noted banners hanging and a large cube logo. Then the group performed folk dances to the accompaniment of rural instruments. A fitting addition to our Bressane meal!
