Water, water, water !!!
Evian at Lake Geneva
The dizzying abysses of the high mountains are matched by the gentleness of Lake Geneva. This small inland sea of 580 square kilometres (350 in Switzerland and 230 in Haute-Savoie) washes the southern slopes and gives it a temperate climate, favourable to lush, dense vegetation. Its sinuous curves, which run from the Yvoire point to Saint-Gingolph, are studded with spa towns (Thonon, Evian and others), yacht marinas, villas and parks.
Home of a world famous natural mineral water, Evian is a town of 7500 people, magnificently located between Lake Geneva and the mountains of Chablais. A modern spa town, known for its tourist facilities and fashionable distractions (casino, golf, exhibitions, car rallies, etc.), Evian has managed to retain its Belle Epoque charm.
