The hotel is up a slight incline, near all the shops, and about a 10min walk from the ferry, the train station is about 30min walk uphill. Our room was at the top of the building, in the attic, (lift ) but had a good view of the lake, it was small but comfy, it is on what i would call the main shopping street, plenty of different types of shops and places to eat, the breakfast room was a small conservatory, bright and sunny, with a big variety of food, none hot, very well presented on a large table to help yourself, the staff at this hotel were very, very, nice. It had no bar or lounge but this didn't bother us as there was a bar and cafe right next door, (not noisey ) Just outside the breakfast room was the garden were you could sit, you could also have your breakfast out there as well. The hotel did have a vending machine which was handy. I would stay here again.
Unique Quality: The hotel didn't have anything fancy about it, it was very clean and tidy, with very pleasant staff who went out of thier way to help you. The hotel was not many yards from the Evian water musum, and behind the museum is the Evian water spring.
Directions: We arrived by ferry from the swiss side, saw the casino straight away, and new that the hotel was near enough behind it, easy enough to find on foot, the trains were a bit hit and miss, didn't use them, boats did it all and very helpful.
