Club Med Valmorel: Club Med Valmorel We had an excellent stay !!
We stayed at Club Med’s brand new resort in Valmorel.
The Club Med ‘village’ is a five minute drive from the pretty centre with its nice shops and cosy chalet-style restaurants and bars.
The luxury bedrooms are stylish and comfortable with flat screens TVs, nice bathroom.
The hotel has its own indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, day spa.
Club Med has a a children's club for babies through to teenagers, 4 restaurants and a central bar.Qualified staff members ensure parents and children gain maximum benefit, guaranteeing happiness for children and peace of mind for parents .
The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful.
There are ski lessons for youngsters from the age of three. Located at the foot of the slopes, you can literally put on your gear in the ski room and ski from the door.ESF instructors are available to guide you across the slopes, whether you are a beginner or an expert. Each guest has his own locker for their equipment.
The food is very good quality with plenty of choice, you can choose between the buffet style or à la carte restaurant. At lunchtime it’s easy to ski back at the hotel to have lunch.
We certainly recommend this place, we had an excellent stay !!

Club Med Valomrel: The newest Club Med resort
First experience with Club Med and delighted.
This is the latest Club Med resort, opened 18th December 2011. Nice and clean, great service. Everybody is helpful and friendly. Easily reached by car, train (up to Moutiers, then shuttle from hotel) or airplane (Genève.).
This was our first experience with Club Med and we really enjoyed it.
Hotel has room for 1200 people, when we were there, they hosted 800 guests. We had never a ‘crowd’ feeling, there was enough place. Nice lounge with lots of seats and sofa’s. Hotel was clean, nice decorations, also suitable for wheelchair.
Food was great, nice choice also for special wishes (vegetarian, no lactose...), 4 different dining-rooms, decorated acc. 4 seasons, and 1 specialty-restaurant. Everything was fresh, if you wanted something special, you just had to ask. Everything was fresh. Superb cocktails in the bar, all-in is great!
Room was okay, not very large but comfortable, cleaned every day. Mini-bar (never needed it) and flat screen TV, small stereo. Our bed was large (2x2m), and lovely pillows, room was calm and no noise! Nice view, but no balcony.
Facilities for kids were also available, ski lessons included for kids and adults. Nice ski domain, not the biggest but enough slopes for everyone’s capability. Small pool, great hammam. Small ice-skating ring.
Every evening show for kids, later for adults. Always nice to see, but not forced to attend.
I would recommend this hotel to everyne who is looking for an easy ski holiday with young kids and without stress!
Great children entertainment team, staff speaks a lot of languages.

Residence Le Cheval Blanc: Usual Self-catering appartment
This is a usual self-catering appartment as you can find many in any skiing resort. Nice, new and functionnal but not too many space inside (unless you are less than the recommended number of people).
What was particularly nice about this one is that from outside, it didn't look too bad. Most of the time, this kind of appartments are inside an ugly concrete tower! In this case, there was lots of appartments but they were located in several 'small' buildings interconnected and on different layers. The intrance was at the street level but from the last buildings, we had a direct access to one of the runs.
It was also possible to come back directly by ski using the green run called 'Cote Soleil'.
Since this was booked directly by a travel agency, I can't provide too much specific details about it. I think you need to contact one of the rental agencies in the resort.
