Place for youht people
There is no point to search this place if:
1. you are travelling with partner/friend
2. you have heavy luggage
The reason is - Hard to find and it is located on the top of a hill. You can find another hotel for the same price for double room with better quality and location (we mean the price was 15€ person/per night, another place we've find was 30€ room/ per night).
There is point to stay there if:
1. you are travelling by your own
2. your backpack is not bloodly heavy
3. you are looking youth athmospeare, dreaming to eat Kelloge's for breakfast....
PS we've been there in August, 2006
Unique Quality: Hostel has terrace with great view to old town. Free breakfast is included to the price.
Some rooms do not have windows and extreamly small. Not enough place to look/move around. But some rooms have great view to old town.

The best hostel I've seen
I had a little trouble with finding this place be cause of little streets, big hill and a lot of luggage, but when I finally got there I was amazed. Situated on the hill in the okd part of Lyon, it has an amazing view to the city...People are extremly nice, everybody is on the terrace all the time having a drink. I was in a female room, so we had our own shower.I deeply reccomend it.
Unique Quality: Great view, breakfast included in price, in the centre of city...

Recommended hostel in Lyon
The only other hostel in Lyon is in a pretty shabby part of town, but this is in Vieux Lyon which is the place to be. It's on a very steep hill and you will have a coronary trying to get there, so travel light. The view from the balcony is stunning, and there's a funiculaire station nearby. There's a man at the desk who's very ***y and rude, but on saturday night the hostel turns into a bit of a bar and then he cheers up and starts dancing around. This is definitely a young people's hostel because of the saturday night and because it is quite cramped. You have to share with people, and the showers are rusty. But what do you expect, its a youth hostel. There are loads of new people from all over the world to socialise with, and a really cute little cat.
