Tourist Office.
by Dizzyhead
You find the tourist information (Office du tourisme du Grand Lyon) in Place Bellecour and it opens 9.00 and close at 18.00. You can also call it.
My first visit here was really well and just good memories. The woman helped me so much, and was so friendsly, but my second time here at this tourist office I did not get that kind of service you expect from someone working in the travelling busines. She wants not rude, but she did not want to be to my help. It felt when I talked with her, I bothered her. My new experience is that you can get very good and bad service in the same place, it depends mostly on the person you meet. So, be pleasant even if they are an ***.
Lyon metro
by Fam_Stoica
Lyon has a medium-sized metro network (4 lines : A,B,C and D, 41 stations); C is a cog-wheel line and D line is fully automated.
All the metro trains are modern, fast (up to 72 km/h) and convenient.
The city scenes

It felt really nice taking a stroll around the city on the way to the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière. Narrow streets filled with countyr flags, nice fountains to cool down a bit, music playing all around the place... Cute.

Lyon

"Lyon"
Lyon is I believe France's 3rd largest city, and often overlooked by tourists. French cuisine at its best; one Lyon-native even told me it's supposed to be the gastronomic capital of France.
One thing I really liked was the striking contrast between the new and the old: on the one hand there's the old city with small, ancient squares, but across the river is the modern city with modern statues and architecture. Because of the two rivers that run through it, it's impossible to get lost.
If I had to choose, I think this would be my favorite city in all of France.
