We got a room at the DuHelder in Jan. 2004 for 47euro /night. The small room on the 5th floor had just had some fresh paint, a new window and carpet put in. The smell from the paint made us keep the window open even though it was almost freezing outside. The room was small and the bed was old and very lumpy with a european classic, the uni-pillow. The bathroom was clean and nice with a large bath and shower wand. Staff was very friendly. Situated close to the metro and tram made getting around no problem. 2 worst things the bed and the smells. Not so bad for the price, but I don't think we'll stay there again if we return to Lyon.
close to metro and tram unique smells in the hallways
