The Pencil Hotel in Lyon
We were quite impressed with the Radisson SAS in Lyon; it's the tallest hotel in Europe. Because it is built round, all the rooms have a great view of Lyon. Our room had a side view of the basillica, which was really stunning at night. Check in was on the 32nd floor and we stayed on the 33rd floor.
I must say though, this hotel is quite far from the downtown area of Lyon. We were on a tour so it was no problem for transportation to our restaurant and to enjoy the sights of the city. The rooms were quite spacious, duvets on the beds and the bathroom was contemporary. I would say the most outstanding characterisitic of this hotel was the fact that every room offered a view.
