Good Accomodation in Meribel
Self catering apartments in large wooden chalets. Clean and well kept. We stayed for a week in the Summer of 2005. The apartment was well equipped with everything we could want - cooker, oven, coffee maker, fridge, hairdryer, dishwasher etc. Only thing missing was a decent fish slice (spatula) in the kitchen to flip your omlets. Towels and blankets galore - comfortable beds, free TV, Very helpful staff. Well recomended.
Local supermarket, bar and bakers within 100 metres. Bakers brilliant, supermarket well stocked but VERY expensive so only use for top up supplies.
Bring your own dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid as the stuff they give you are rubbish and do all your non perishable shopping in Moutiers at the supermarket or cheaper still in Albertville on the way up.
Unique Quality: Small but good quality swimming pool, saunas, steam rooms, gym, weight room, ski lift at the door into the main system, bus terminus at the door, ample car parking, pretty buildings, quiet location.
If you are on the right side of the buildings then the views are stunning across the valley - at the mountain side it's lovely trees and I imagine in winter very beautiful.
