Just moved to Thonon from Ireland and looking to make friends and also learn French

Hi there I have just moved to Thonon and am working here until April. I am very, very bored! And I dont drive. I would like to meet people of any age that are interested in visiting art galleries, museums, exploring the surrounding areas, maybe go to a few bars and outdoor activities like hiking etc. English speaking people would be great because my French is not that good! I am a 38 year old female interested in music, art, creativity, spirituality, travel etc. Also if anyone knows where I can attend French classes to improve my French let me know. Also curious to know if there are any health food shops here because I cant find any and want to buy vegetarian food like veggie burgers, tofu, etc. And where I can buy chinese food like fresh noodles etc. And would like to go skiing! But would be a beginner. So get in touch if you too are bored in Thonon!

Best thing, I think is to go to the local Mairie (town hall) and get all the information about Thonon-les-Bains.

There are neighbourhood meeting centers where various activities take place. Or organised outings, etc. It would be meeting local people.

Local supermarkets should be well stocked with vegeterian products. I've seen them often.

Google for 'Thonon les Bains alimentation' and you get a list of supermarkets: Monoprix, Intermarché, Lidl (cheap!) etc.
