Sign in with FacebookLa Fornet is a tiny village just east of Val d Isere, in the Savoy, close to the Italian border. There is nothing very special to see here just lots of peace & quiet surrounded by the snowy mountains. Due to an foot injury from my parachute jump I needed a day break from skiing near the end of the holiday, so I walked from La Daille up to here instead. It looks a very dull day in the photo but I remember it as actually a lovely sunny walk!
Alps
My Lift pass, it is quite an expensive area to get one as it covers the 3 valleys (about £140.00). I think you can get one which covers a smaller area but I dont know the price or area it covers.
The last time we went skkiing was in 1999 to Val d'Isere, all my family ski & my aunt in particular is fanatical & gets to the Alps at least 4 times a season. (she used to be a BASI instructor).
Val d'Isere town is nice, but expensive & quite commercial, we stayed in La Daille, a 5 minute bus ride away.
