"St. Germain Should Really Be In Ile-de France"
Saint Germain en Laye is the largest suburban city in the western Ile de France but it is not listed where it belongs in the Ile de France and Yvelines department. It has a pop. of 38.1 M persons and is the last stop on the Line A of the RER. Here we can find what was the Royal Palace and plus a newer used until Louis XIV made Versailles ready. It has enormous Gardens made by Le Notre. The main chateau became the National Antiquities Museum 1867. It was redone from 1960-69 and is the leading such structure in France.
