Live where kings lived!
You are truly living a bit of history in this hotel, which was once a royal residence for Henri IV, Louis XIII and where Louis XIV (the "Sun King" who built Versailles) was born. The hotel is old but well maintained, but not modified so much that you can't imagine it as what it once was.
The view of Paris is wonderful, the food was wonderful, and a lovely garden next to it links also the the "old chateau" which is now an archaeology museum but the grounds are free to visit and make a wonderful treasure for the people of France.
The town is not large but has some lovely stores and restaurants. A nice relaxing place to get away from it all, but only 20-30 min by train to downtown Paris.
Unique Quality: Great views, historic building, large beautiful rooms, ours had a brand new bathroom that was wonderful.
